Welcome to the Jungle Gym. Today I am going to start a little free Tuesday yoga series. It will focus on a different pose or concept each week. One of my favorite things to throw into my home practice is arm balances. Crow was the first arm balance that I learned, and I still think it is the easiest to learn.
I’m sure I have left a few things out of the video, but here are a few tips to remember:
- Keep gazing up at the space in front of your mat. If you look back gravity will cause you to roll forward or face plant.
- Keep engaging the core. Belly button should be up and in toward the spine.
- Keep pulling the feet up towards your butt, trying to bring the big toes to touch
- Think chaturanga arms!
- Keep trying even if you don’t get it at first. Take breaks and have fun with it.

Faceplanted…🤦 note to self, read Eve’s directions before attempting.
